360 Comfort Systems is setting out to find the oldest heat pump in the Southern Vancouver Island area. While your heat pump may still be dutifully heating your home, there’s a chance it will begin to show issues with reliability and its efficiency in keeping you warm will start to wane. Because the middle of winter is the worst time to realize you need a new heat pump, we make it our mission to raise awareness of the pains of having an old heat pump in your home by hosting the annual Oldest heat pump Contest.
Routine maintenance can help increase the longevity of your heat pump and allow it to run strong all winter and summer long, but as heat pumps age they do not work as well as they once did. In fact, the average life expectancy of a heat pump is around 16 years, even with scheduled repairs. Beyond that, mechanical components can begin to fail and these old heat pumps do not heat your home as well as they used to.
To make sure you won’t go cold this winter and you can trust your heat pump to heat your home efficiently and safely, enter our Oldest Heat Pump Contest. We’re looking for heat pumps that are long past their expiration date and we want to give you a brand new one to replace that old, worn out unit.
Newer Heat Pumps are More Efficient
Besides being much quieter, a newer heat pump is also more efficient. Those old worn out parts that are prone to failure degrade the performance of your heat pump over time. So while it once was able to run smoothly, you may notice some additional knocking, clunking, or grinding noises coming from your system or you may get a large unexpected electricity bill. These are all signs that your heat pump is not able to perform as well as it has in the past.
When these components age and the heat pump becomes less efficient at heating and cooling your home, your energy costs can increase. If you’ve noticed an increase in how much you’re paying each year, then a newer heat pump can help get those energy costs under control.
What You’ll Win
By entering the Oldest Heat Pump Contest, you’ll have a chance to win a brand new heat pump system for your home valued at up to $11,135. We encourage everyone to enter too, as we have many runner up prizes.
Replacing Your Heat Pump Before the Contest Ends
The benefit to replacing your existing heat pump before the contest ends is that if you are the winner, 360 Comfort Systems will refund you the price of your entire heat pump system including installation.
